I started weight training seriously about 8 years ago. Before that I
trained various martial arts styles and wrongly believed that weight training would slow me down and make me cumbersome etc. I trained diligently with weights for about 3years but always felt frustrated that the training didn't carryover into everyday life. Awkward objects became like massive obelisks despite being fairly muscular. When I discovered kettlebells I had all but given up weight training for rock climbing , marathon push-up and handstand push-up sessions. After 3 years or so of kettlebell work I have never felt stronger or fitter. I want everyone who is interested in functional fitness to know about the power of the kettlebells.
