UKKA Seminar
report
January saw the first seminar of 2007 hosted by Guy Noble and Adrian
Burton at Esporta in Leeds. With the course being fully booked weeks
in advance an enthusiastic attendance was expected.
Attendees ranged from people who had never picked up a kettle bell
before to personal trainers and martial artists who had bought one
due to increased media coverage from the likes of the new Rocky Balboa
film but didn’t know how to use it.
After a good warm up, Guy and Adrian divided their time between demonstrating
to the class and correcting individuals on basic technique. Exercises
covered included basic swings, 2 hand and single hand, cleans, presses,
snatches, windmills and Turkish get ups.
“We like to run the seminars on an informal basis with a good
laugh, but making sure people work hard and with excellent technique”
stated Guy.
After 3hrs every body said that they had a good time and after buying
new kettle bells and Stan & Robs Kettlebell Bible, said they couldn’t
wait to get home to practice.
Our
next seminar is the 31st March – 1st April at Esporta
at Lancashire Health and Racquet Club in Manchester and anybody
wishing to book should contact Guy on 07790 482484 – info@guynoble.co.uk
to pay by cheque or Adrian on 01282 698698 to pay by credit
card. |
Testimonials from people who attended the course
Hi Guy
Thanks again for a great seminar and you’re not wrong about
the walking difficulties following the intense training…ha
Thank you for a very comprehensive and fun seminar thoroughly enjoyed
it. Kettlebell training is fantastic and the exact tool I have been
looking for.

Hello Guy,
I am writing to you to complain – I am now addicted to kettlebells,
and it is your entire fault. I had heard a great deal about the efficiency
of kettlebells in giving you an all over work out. I guessed for myself
that they would be challenging my body is some completely new ways.
What I did not realise is that your session would be so supportive
and welcoming, as well as full of knowledge, that I would be inspired
to immediately buy a pair of bells and use them myself on a regular
basis. I still lack the grace that you displayed but I live in hope.
I can’t wait to let you know when I grow out of my 8kg bell.
Many thanks to both you and Adrian for your patience.
